Make purpose-built software accessible
The businesses that get software built specifically for them have always been the ones that could afford it — large enterprises with substantial IT budgets and long procurement timelines. Everyone else makes do with generic tools.
We think that is the wrong way round. The businesses that benefit most from purpose-built software are often the smaller ones — the ones where a few hours of manual reconciliation a week, or a handoff that loses data every time, or a process that simply cannot be captured in a spreadsheet, has a real impact on the people running the business.
Data Chassis exists to change that ratio. Purpose-built business software, in weeks instead of months, at a cost that makes sense for the scale of the problem.
How we got here
The insight behind the platform
Data Chassis started with an observation about how business software actually works. Every system function — no matter how complex it looks from the outside — is really the combination of two things: a data model that describes the information involved, and a code pattern that describes what to do with it.
If that is true, then given a complete and precise description of a business system, you could in principle generate that system entirely from its description. Not write it from scratch — generate it. The same platform, the same builders, producing a different system every time based on a different plan.
That is the principle Data Chassis is built on. The engineering work is in building builders that are general enough to handle any data model, any workflow, any access pattern — and robust enough that what they produce is production-ready without manual intervention.
The result is a platform that can turn a description of your business process into a running system in a fraction of the time and cost of building it from scratch. Data Chassis Ltd was incorporated to bring that platform to market.
